Working at the same company for more than 40 years is probably not very common these days.  Alarmco currently has 5 people on our staff with that much experience.  In fact the average employee at Alarmco has been here for more than 11 years and collectively we have more than a thousand years of experience between us.  Our history as a company and in this community is something that we have always been very proud of.  Two of our most tenured employees have decided to retire and we wanted to take a moment to thank them for their many years of service and professionalism.


Ted Debban started working at Alarmco, Inc. in 1965 when the price of a stamp was about 5 cents and a gallon of gas was a quarter.  Most alarm systems were not monitored at that time and Alarmco did not have a Central Monitoring Station yet.  It wasn’t until a few years later that we began monitoring alarms which is when Clark Miller began working in our Central Station.  Over the years both have held a variety of positions in the company and have been instrumental to our continued success.  We are very fortunate to have had the pleasure of working with each of them and even though we will no longer have the benefit of their considerable experience every day we will still have their friendship and the strong foundation that they have both helped to build here.  We are very grateful to have had the honor of working with both of them and would like to express our heartfelt gratitude and appreciation for everything they have done for our company, our community and for our industry.  We will miss them both.




We have maintained the Five Diamond Central Station Certification for more than 6 years and are very proud to announce that we have recently renewed it again for this year.  Of the more than 5000 companies in the alarm industry only about 150 have achieved this honor and maintain the certification.  The program recognizes companies that embody the five points of excellence which are:


1) Commitment to random inspections and quality criteria standards by a nationally recognized testing laboratory such as FM Global, Intertek/ETL and UL.

2) Commitment to the highest levels of customer service.

3) Commitment to ongoing job-related education and testing by having 100% of its central station operators certified using the CSAA online training series.



The Electronic Security Expo just wrapped up last week in Nashville.  The Central Station excellence awards were handed out at the awards ceremony during the expo.  I was pleasantly surprised to find out that I received honorable mention in the category of Central Station Manager of the Year this year.  I would like to personally thank CSAA and the selection committee for recognizing me in this way.  To have such a distinction bestowed upon me is quite an honor and I appreciate it very much.
